INTRODUCTION
These release notes describe the features and limitations for the NTB software version 11.
We recommend that you read the NTB Users Guide for an introduction to using the NTB.

Hardware Changes:
- New hardware support NTB-4K-1000 (122-38-04-00-00).
- Support for NTB-OPS-HD-1000 has been restored. It was temporarily withdrawn due to hardware unavailability for testing.
New Features:
- Added support for Quividi version 6.
- Player Manager now displays IP and MAC address information.
- Download Policy settings can now be correctly assigned from a CMS to an NTB.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where NTB players managed by a CMS would have their ‘additional title’ value reset.
- Fixed a subscriber error caused by the use of playlist item locks and ‘download media items that meet conditional play’.
- Fixed an issue where RS232 items would not work correctly with time validity enabled.
- Improvements to the automatic sign-in detection system to work with a wider range of applications.
- Fixed a bug where editing automatic sign-in settings required a user to re-enter password information.
- Fixed issues with creating backups using USB devices.
- Fixed playback issues with HLS 3 video streams.
- Re-enabled the creation of 4K portrait layouts.
- Ad-hoc mirroring should no longer stop transferring files when the remote file server reports an error.
- Fixed an issue when using a WiFi connection with a static IP would not use the default gateway settings.
- Fixed an incorrect error message usage when adding an ad-hoc schedule item.
- Channel subscription should now respect the error retry interval when receiving connection rejection responses from a remote file server.
- Fixed an issue where Reserve Room Summary would produce long PLI values that broke the player.
- Fixed issues with donated settings not being accepted due to version checking.

- Added a new and improved default layout which better reflects the capabilities of the player.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where special characters in LDAP bind passwords would cause the system WebUI to become unreachable.
- Fixed an issue where the channel status would sometimes display data from previous schedule entry configurations.

Hardware Changes:
- New hardware support for use with shelf edge displays NTB-HD-SE1F (222-27-02-03-00).
- Temporary removed support for NTB model ‘NTB-OPS-HD-10’ and ‘NTB-OPS-HD-1000’ due to hardware unavailability for testing.
New Features:
- Added support for tables to use remote ad-hoc value editing (update from centre).
- Implemented a persistent data store API for web developers to store their application’s configuration and data when running the application on an NTB.
Security Fixes:
- Disabled insecure TLS 1.0 protocol when accessing the WebUI.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed connectivity issue between DSM and NTB when screen off was scheduled.
- Fixed folder creation when configuring a USB backup.
- Added support for ‘onChange’ events to trigger when using automatic sign in.
- Fixed an issue where automatic sign in would get stuck.
- Fixed an issue where attempting to interacting with HTML elements, that where attached to the focus of a text input, was impossible.
- Fixed the generation of the on screen keyboard so that it no longer disturbs the HTML contents.
- Updated default British RSS feed ‘M4 Traffic’ to reflect the domain name change from ‘highways.gov.uk’ to ‘m.highwaysengland.co.uk’.
- Fixed an issue where a playlist with no playable items would not schedule new items to start if they became playable due to a PLI or folderplay change.
- Enabled automatic sign in support for the new Google Accounts authentication form.
- Improved image player performance and stability.
- Fixed an issue with accepting donated settings from a DSM.
- Fixed an issue with enabling XML services.
- Fixed an issue when rebooting the NTB via a DSMs VPN session would cause the DSM to reboot instead of the NTB.
- Fixed an issue where, on some content, the on screen keyboard would lose focus after a single key press.
- Fixed an issue where it became impossible to set an image opacity setting to 100%.
- Fixed an issue where the on screen keyboard would be displayed for inputs other than text.
- Fixed an issue where a subscribing NTB would stop accepting channel changes if sent a malformed request.
- Fixed an issue where the NTB would ignore a CMS daily reboot request if set.
- A corrupt local information file will no longer return an error when using XML API.
- Fixed an issue where subscribing to a channel with an LDAP user would fail if special characters were used in the password.
- Fixed an issue where download policy would sometimes still download folder play items if they were not playable.
- Fixed file drag and drop not working on ad-hoc pages.
- Fixed the possibility for users to generate backup files without ending in ‘.backup’ which would then not be recognised as a valid backup file.

New Features:
- Implemented a new download policy which allows channels to be selectively downloaded dependent on conditional playback PLI.
Security Fixes:
- Implemented the fixes for processor security vulnerabilities Meltdown and Spectre.
- Added a security feature to block brute force attacks based on IP addresses for repeated login failure (CSNC-2018-010).
- Resolved a vulnerability where it become possible for users to access some restricted files (CSNC-2018-011).
- Passwords are now masked in UI (CSNC-2018-013).
- Added security option to allow for sysadmins to enforce media files to be saved instead of playing directly in the users browser when clicked.
- Implemented unique Diffie-Hellman prime number generation (Logjam Attack).
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where the player would fail after a prolonged period of time.
- Fixed URL and file name encoding issues with the HTML player.
- Fixed a connectivity issue where the NTB would temporarily lose connection to a connected CMS Player Manager when the connection was refreshed.
- Fixed a number of issues found with the HTML player performance.
- Fixed HDMI capture performance when playing 4K content.
- Fixed an issue where the player would lose it’s touch mapping.
- Fixed an issue where uploading to a directory containing a Unicode character would fail.
- Fixed a bad language header which would cause some HTML webpages to become unplayable.
