Follow the instructions below depending on whether you want to update automatically or manually.

This product uses Open Source software. Full details of the software licenses and source code are provided on ONELAN’s Open Source Repository page.

Recommendations

We advise before installing updates across your entire network to install the updates on a single device to ensure it does not effect your playlists, layouts or channels. All our releases have been comprehensively tested across all devices but however occupationally unforeseen issues may occur. It is for this reason that the best practice is to test the update before rolling it out across your network.

The license needs to be installed before applying the update

Please ensure a backup is made before applying any update. If you have a virtual CMS, please take a snapshot of the VM beforehand.



Select your current version to download the next increment update:

3.3.2 to 3.4.0

CMS updates can only be installing in set increments. Please therefore follow the instructions below. You may need to install multiple updates.

  1. If using Internet Explorer then check that it did not rename the file, if it ends in “.tar” then change it to “.opf”.
  2. Browse to Setup>Maintenance & Troubleshooting>Software Updates> Manual Update tab on the NTB.
  3. Click the “Browse…” button and locate the OPF file that you have just downloaded.
  4. Click the “Upload” button and wait for the file to upload to the CMS.
  5. Do not browse away from the page during the upload. Be patient if the browser appears to freeze at the end of the upload.
  6. When the upload is complete, do NOT pull the power cable out or turn off the electricity until the update process is complete.
  7. Click the “Reboot” link to restart the CMS, this may take up to 20 minutes.
  8. After the CMS has rebooted it will be running the new software.
  9. Repeat all the steps above until the CMS is running the latest software.
  10. Find the version number on in the tabs on the left of this page and repeat all the steps above until the CMS is running the latest software.

3.x.x

CMS updates can only be installing in set increments. Please therefore follow the instructions below. You may need to install multiple updates.

  1. If using Internet Explorer then check that it did not rename the file, if it ends in “.tar” then change it to “.opf”.
  2. Browse to Setup>Maintenance & Troubleshooting>Software Updates> Manual Update tab on the NTB.
  3. Click the “Browse…” button and locate the OPF file that you have just downloaded.
