Report your performance
Share your organisations Key Performance Indicators with your staff and customers in real time. Give timely feedback to drive performance improvements, promote safety or show progress towards a key goal.
Manage queues and room bookings
Integrate with external systems to bring queuing, patient management or room booking data on screen at the right time and place.
Trigger alerts and instructions
Use external sensors or control systems to change what content is displayed. For example trigger evacuation messaging if a fire is detected, display critical status information or provide a customer with additional product information.
Update menuboards centrally & locally
Reduce both time and cost involved in updating your menuboard by using dynamic content. Menus can be updated centrally or locally as needed in an instant with new pricing, product details and product availability as needed.
Inbuilt Features for data integration
The DCE features a number of built in tools for bringing live data to your display:
- Collect and cache RSS feeds
- Display XML files with style sheets e.g. a weather app that draws its data from a web source
- Capture PC and Set Top Boxes sources using an HDMI HDCP compliant capture card
- Ad Hoc manual data input by staff
Application Programmers Interface
Campus & building control automation solutions can be used to command a player or group of players via XML post commands, for example to change the player volume or initiate new content.
Dynamic conditional playback is also possible through re-writing player Player Local Information (PLI) tags. For example real time Flight Information data for a flight from China could be used to modify player tag so that they then automatically play pre-selected Chinese content to the primarily Chinese target audience as they arrive.
GPIO / RS-232
The NTB supports simple triggering of content due to a contact closure eg lifting up a product, proximity to the screen etc. Up to 4 discrete events may be handled.
Data Collection Engine
Collect data from external systems and deliver this to players for display using dynamic Flash or HTML media. The DCE is designed for unattended operation and features a user defined collection schedule for automatic collection and retry on error. Existing data connectors include Microsoft® Excel®, Microsoft® Exchange, Google Calendar™, Microsoft® SQL Database, CSV Text, XML. Please check with ONELAN for information on the latest connections or to discuss your requirements.
