ONELAN continues its drive into the QSR space delivering a failover solution which ensures business critical information such as menu boards, pricing and calorific values are always available for customers, without the need to invest in a redundant network of multiple back-up players, dual output players, or screens.
This enhancement in ONELAN's enterprise Content Management System (CMS) further enriches the functionality of ONELAN's System-on-Chip (SOC) and Net-Top-Box (NTB) solutions, helping to cement ONELAN's position as one of the industry's leading innovators in the QSR environment.
The solution works via player level tagging. In the event of a player failure or a display losing power, content playing will automatically move to one of the other screens. Failover gives retailers security that even in the event of a display or player failure the vital information will still be shown.
At Infocomm 2017, ONELAN will also be showing its latest menu board management web app. This allows restaurant managers to use their local PC/mobile device to manage and update their local menu board.
This new release is part of ONELAN's commitment to making the CMS support a wide range of player types, and to add enterprise features which make it ideal for multiple applications.

We're delighted to announce a new integration partner, Layered Solutions, Inc. Based in Carmel, Ind., Layered Solutions provides mass notification communication - whether in an emergency or a general announcement - through its unique software and mobile application platform that integrates with digital signage as well as fire systems, public address systems, LED signage, physical security systems and social media.
Layered Solutions is providing ONELAN technology end users with the ability to trigger overrides of their content management systems either spontaneously or in the event of an emergency.
"It allows those end users to override digital signage content with messaging that might be as simple as wishing someone a happy work anniversary to something as time sensitive as a campus lockdown due to a security threat," says Jerry Geis, president and founder of Layered Solutions. "The beauty of this technology is that pre-programmed messaging can be controlled from a PC or even through a mobile app."
The ONELAN Digital Signage Platform has for many years offered automatic emergency messaging capabilities which can integrate with existing emergency messaging platforms; an ideal solution for the increasing number of companies who do not have a comprehensive multi-medium emergency messaging platform and who wish to ensure a safer on premise environment for their employees and customers.
The ONELAN Layered Solution partnership will provide companies with a fully integrated "Out of the Box" multi-channel/multi-medium instant emergency and non-emergency messaging capabilities to all employees and/or customers to better ensure their safety and, in the case of non-emergency messaging, their engagement.

ONELAN has been awarded an international Digital Signage Award by one of the AV industry's leading organisations, known as the DOOHDAHs.
The award was given in recognition of ONELAN's deployment at the Chemist Warehouse Retail Group, one of Australia's leading retail pharmacies, where digital signage has continued to enable Chemist Warehouse to distribute video and advertising content into stores, plus provide proof of play to brands, with content managed centrally by their internal marketing team.
Furthermore, additional promotional revenue streams were opened, with a reduced reliance on paper (at point of sale) and product information accessed more easily by customers.
The Retail Group consists of Chemist Warehouse, My Chemist, My Beauty Spot, ePharmacy and the Discount Vitamin Warehouse, operating more than 400 retail stores across Australia. They are Australia's sixth largest retailer by turnover, with sales of more than $4 billion, and in excess of 10,000 staff.
