Reading, UK, 29/05/2020: ONELAN, leaders in digital visual communications is pleased to announce the launch of its new range of small footprint Intel-powered digital signage Net-Top-Box (NTB) players, an ideal solution where space is restricted as the players are easier to conceal and install.
The new players are almost half the size of the comparable existing ONELAN NTB players and are half the weight, while still retaining all the functionality and trusted reliability of the current players, and at the same time being much easier to handle.
In addition to the reduced size and weight benefits, the new players require fewer cables and adapters, as they have been designed with an internal COM port, removing the requirement for a USB to RS232 adapter to control external audio-visual devices such as displays and projectors. Replacing this connector with a built-in solution helps to make the overall installation process cleaner and more efficient.
All ONELAN NTBs are proprietary hardware designed specifically for the ONELAN CMS, eliminating compatibility issues of using third party hardware. Furthermore, the new subscription-based licensing option, available in CMS3.5, can be immediately applied to the new range of players. This lowers the initial cost of investment and enables customers to assign on-going costs to their operational expenditure budgets thereby offering businesses of every size an extra competitive advantage. This gives advertising and retail networks in particular greater scope to align overhead costs with revenue generation.
Simon Carp, Tripleplay and ONELAN head of product management commented: “We’ve launched these players to help solve the problem of limited space at many installs plus ensuring they’re simple to set up with fewer cabling requirements. These new players are significantly easier to conceal and install than comparable products, and benefit from flexible subscription-based purchasing options too.”
